Main Stage at the Haight Street Fair

ROCK N’ROLL RETURNS TO ITS CLASSIC FORM

May 24, 2013 (SAN FRANCISCO, CA) – Pamela Parker will light up the city of San Francisco to celebrate her latest album, Evolutionary Process, with her all-star band on the main stage at The Haight Street Fair. The concert is FREE and family friendly. It runs all day long at the intersection of Haight Street at Stanyan Street. Pamela Parker and her band will take the Stanyan Stage at 1:30PM and play until 2:25PM. You will hear Pamela Parker on vocals and lead guitar, Kevin Carnes (Broun Fellinis) on drums, Tony Glaser (Alma Desnuda, Naked Soul) on bass, Rafael Tranquilino on lead guitar, and special guest Ryan Hickey on keys.

Pamela Parker has spent the last 2 years crafting her latest release in the city of her dreams, San Francisco, CA. She recorded and mixed her album at the legendary Hyde Street Studios in Studio A. The album features original classic rock for the new millennium. “In an age where humdrum music is still crowding the airwaves, Pamela Parker and her band have brought relevance and new life to classic rock and the music industry with this new release, Evolutionary Process,” Jack Dylan. The album also just debuted at #1 on 101.7FM CHLY radio in Nanaimo, BC on Vancouver Island in Canada, and is holding strong.

The music is very classic sounding guitar driven mid 70’s style rock (two lead guitars, bass, drums, powerful vocals, and occasional keyboards) with a heavy emphasis on songwriting, arrangement, and performance.  Though the template of this band is firmly planted in mid 70’s rock (taking their cues from Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Thin Lizzy and the like) their sound is totally fresh and original.  Pamela’s incredible and powerful voice is often described as a cross between Robert Plant and Janis Joplin.  She soars high like Plant but has just the right touch of gravel and growl ala Janis and when needed she sings smooth as silk.  Armed with her trusty Gibson SG, Marshall half-stack and ultra talented band mates, Parker is set to reinvigorate the music world by offering up hot slabs of fresh rock & roll.
